Scrum Day Nigeria 2026 to be Held in  Lagos on 24 March

Scrum  Day  Nigeria  2026 will be held on Tuesday, 24 March 2026 at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, bringing together product leaders, engineers, technology executives, and agile practitioners to address product delivery challenges in Nigeria’s business environment.

The practitioner-led one-day conference, themed “Building Better Products – Sooner, Safer, Happier,” will focus on modern product development practices, including Scrum Framework, Kanban Methods, and Lean. The organisers say the event is designed to help organisations improve how they design, build and deliver products that meet user needs.

Scrum  Day  Nigeria  is convened by Sam Adesoga, Principal Consultant at ValueHut Consulting and a Professional Scrum Trainer with Scrum.org. He has worked across software development, quality assurance, product ownership and enterprise agile coaching for more than two decades.

Explaining the motivation for the conference, Adesoga said many professionals entering technology roles face challenges when working on complex products within teams. “There is an abundance of courses helping people get into tech jobs,” he said. “However, many struggle when dropped into the real world of work, where they must solve complex problems and collaborate with others to build valuable products.”

 He added that in consulting engagements, he has observed projects that overrun

budgets and deliver inconsistent outcomes. “These products do not always deliver on promised value,” he said. “For these reasons, I decided to kick off Scrum Day Nigeria as a yearly practitioner-led event where individuals, teams and their leaders can pause,reflect and learn from each other about emerging ways of building great products.”

According to the organisers, Nigerian businesses continue to experience slow product delivery cycles, inefficiencies and low productivity.
